국민의힘 윤희신 태안군수 후보가 5월 5일 선거사무소 개소식을 성황리에 개최하며 6.3 지방선거 승리를 향한 본격적인 돛을 올렸다. 이날 현장에는 구름 인파가 몰려들며 태안의 변화를 갈망하는 민심의 뜨거운 열기를 증명했다.

오후 2시부터 시작된 개소식에는 군민과 지지자들이 대걱 운집하면서 사무소 주변 도로가 마비될 정도로 인파가 몰리면서 한때 교통경찰이 긴급 출동해 현장을 정리하는 진풍경이 벌어지기도 했다.

이날 개소식은 특히 흩어졌던 보수 진영의 힘을 하나로 모으는 ‘통합의 장’으로서 의미를 더했다. 

윤 후보는 ‘미래 캠프’로 명명된 선거대책위원회의 면면을 공개하며 세를 과시했다. 선거캠프는 조항욱 전 태안읍장이 총괄선대위원장을 맡았으며, 권오인(이영수 전 군수 캠프), 강영숙(김세호 전 군수 캠프 여성조직), 문연식 전 태안예총 회장 등 당내 주요 계파 인사들이 대거 합류해 단일대오를 형성했다.

윤희신 후보는 연설을 통해 기존의 관습적인 행정에서 탈피한 ‘현장 중심의 실행력’을 최우선 가치로 내걸었다. 

윤 후보는 “과거의 방식으로는 태안의 미래를 열 수 없다”며 “군수 직속 ‘세일즈 기획단’을 신설해 중앙정부와 기업을 직접 찾아가며 투자와 유치를 이끌어내겠다”고 천명했다.

윤 후보는 원스톱 민원 시스템 도입 ,고속도로 및 해상교량 건설 추진 ,기업 유치 중심의 양질의 일자리 창출 체류형 관광 거점 확보 ,정주 여건 개선을 통한 인구 유출 방지 등을 공약으로 제시하면서, “태안은 가능성이 무궁무진한 곳임에도 실행력 있는 리더가 부족했다”며 “결과로 증명하는 군수가 되겠다”는 자신감을 내비쳤다.

개소식을 기점으로 압도적인 지지세를 확인한 윤희신 후보는 앞으로 태안 전역을 직접 누비는 밀착형 소통 행보에 박차를 가하며, 이번 선거를 태안 대전환의 분기점으로 만들겠다는 계획이다.
