대전광역시 중구가 어린이날을 기념해 마련한 '중구 방방곡곡 어린이의 달 오! 해피데이'가 지역 아동과 주민들의 뜨거운 참여 속에 막을 내렸다.

이번 행사는 지난 1일부터 5일까지 5일간 중구 관내 5개 마을에서 릴레이 방식으로 진행됐다. 

특히 아이들이 멀리 이동하지 않고도 집 앞마당 같은 생활권 내에서 축제를 만끽할 수 있도록 기획된 ‘분산형 행사’라는 점에서 큰 주목을 받았다.

다채로운 공연을 비롯해 호기심을 자극하는 체험부스, 신나는 놀이마당, 직접 손으로 만드는 체험 프로그램 등 아동의 눈높이에 맞춘 프로그램들도 줄을 이었다. 

부모와 아이가 함께 참여할 수 있는 가족 프로그램은 주민들 사이에서 “멀리 나가지 않아도 가까운 곳에서 알찬 시간을 보낼 수 있어 만족스럽다”는 호평을 이끌어냈다.

이번 행사를 더욱 빛낸 것은 지역사회의 따뜻한 손길이었다. 

아이들에게 풍성한 추억을 선물하기 위해 대전중부·남대전·대흥새마을금고를 비롯해 하나은행 대흥동지점, 삼성블루팡스배구단, 별빛봉사단, 중구방위협의회 등 지역 내 금융기관과 기업, 봉사단체들이 대거 후원 릴레이에 동참했다.

가야상사, ㈜미성씨앤씨, 대사동 선코다리냉면, 목동 육식문화, 아이세이버안경원 등 소상공인들도 아이들을 위한 선물을 기탁하며 지역 공동체의 끈끈한 정을 나눴다. 

문인환 중구청장 권한대행은 축제를 위해 아낌없이 후원해 주신 지역사회 구성원들께 깊이 감사드리며, 아이들이 안전하고 행복하게 성장할 수 있는 중구를 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다고 밝혔다.

The event was held in a relay format across five villages within Jung-gu over five days, from the 1st to the 5th.

It garnered significant attention for being a "decentralized event," designed to allow children to fully enjoy the festival within their living areas—like their own front yards—without having to travel long distances.

During the festival period, the event venues in each village were literally packed with people.

A series of programs tailored to children's interests followed, including diverse performances, curiosity-stimulating experience booths, exciting play areas, and hands-on craft programs. According to Jung-gu, a total of approximately 5,000 people, including children, guardians, and local residents, participated in this festival, creating a vibrant atmosphere in every neighborhood.

The family programs, designed for parents and children to participate in together, garnered favorable reviews from residents, who expressed satisfaction, stating, "We are pleased to be able to spend a meaningful time nearby without having to travel far."
