더불어민주당 조상호 세종시장 예비후보가 6·3 지방선거 승리를 위해 시의원 후보 전원과 손을 맞잡고 ‘강력한 원팀’ 체제를 본격 가동했다.

조상호 예비후보는 1일, 더불어민주당 세종특별자치시당이 주관한 ‘원팀 및 필승 결의를 위한 첫걸음’ 행사에 참석해 당 소속 출마자들과 함께 선거 승리를 향한 결연한 의지를 다졌다. 

이번 행사는 경선을 마친 시의원 후보자들이 조 예비후보를 중심으로 결집해 당의 결속력을 대내외에 알리고자 마련됐다.

이날 오전 조 예비후보와 시의원 후보단은 충령탑 참배를 시작으로 공식 일정을 소화했다. 이들은 호국영령의 숭고한 희생정신을 기리며 경건한 자세로 시민의 선택을 받겠다는 각오를 다졌다. 

이어 고(故) 이해찬 전 총리의 부친 묘역을 찾아 민주주의의 가치를 되새겼으며, 마지막으로 세종호수공원 ‘바람의 언덕’에 위치한 노무현 대통령 조형물을 방문했다. 이 자리에서 후보자들은 국가 균형발전의 상징인 세종시를 완성하겠다는 이른바 ‘노무현의 꿈’ 계승 의지를 재확인했다.
