2027 충청유니버시아드 개폐회식 총감독으로 영화감독 장유정이 선임되면서, 축제 연출 전문성이 부족한 인선이라는 우려가 문화예술계와 스포츠 행사 전문가들 사이에서 제기되고 있다.

충청유니버시아드대회 조직위원회(위원장 강창희)는 19일 장유정 감독을 개·폐회식 총감독으로 공식 위촉했다고 밝혔다. 임기는 2026년 1월부터 2027년 8월까지이며, 이번 대회의 개폐식 기획·제작·연출 전반을 총괄한다.

장 감독은 영화 정직한 후보 시리즈와 뮤지컬 그날들, 오! 당신이 잠든 사이 등 다수의 작품을 연출하며 창작 분야에서 활발히 활동해온 인물이다. 특히 2018 평창동계올림픽 폐회식에서 부감독으로 참여한 경험이 있으나, ‘대형 국제 스포츠행사’의 총감독 경험은 이번이 처음이다.
