대전시가 사회적·경제적으로 어려움을 겪는 시민들을 위해 올해도 ‘법률홈닥터’ 사업을 지속 운영한다.

‘법률홈닥터’는 법률복지 사각지대에 놓인 취약계층에게 1차 무료 법률서비스를 제공하는 사업으로, 법무부와 지방자치단체가 함께 추진하고 있다. 서비스는 법률상담, 법교육, 문서작성 지원, 유관기관 연계 등을 포함하며, 소송 구조 및 대리 등은 제외된다.

대전시는 이 사업을 통해 기초생활수급자, 다문화가정, 범죄피해자 등 생활 속 법적 어려움을 겪는 시민들을 대상으로 상담을 제공하고, 대한법률구조공단과 장애인·노인복지관 등 복지기관과 연계한 통합 법률지원 체계를 운영하고 있다.

2025년 한 해 동안 대전시는 총 1,369건의 법률서비스를 제공했다. 이 가운데 무료 상담 895건, 구조알선 192건, 문서작성 지원 282건 등이 포함되며, 시민들이 위기 상황을 극복할 수 있도록 실질적인 도움을 제공했다.

현재 법률홈닥터는 대전시청, 유성구청, 동구청 등 3곳에서 상담을 운영 중이다.

Daejeon City Strengthens Legal Support for Vulnerable Groups with "Legal Home Doctor" This Year

Daejeon City will continue its "Legal Home Doctor" program this year to support citizens facing social and economic hardship.

"Legal Home Doctor" is a program jointly implemented by the Ministry of Justice and local governments that provides free, first-tier legal services to vulnerable groups who are often overlooked by legal services. Services include legal consultations, legal education, document preparation assistance, and connection with related organizations, but exclude litigation structure and representation.

Through this program, Daejeon City provides counseling to citizens experiencing legal difficulties in their daily lives, including basic livelihood security recipients, multicultural families, and crime victims. It also operates an integrated legal support system in partnership with welfare organizations such as the Korea Legal Aid Corporation and welfare centers for the disabled and the elderly.

During 2025, Daejeon City provided a total of 1,369 legal services. These included 895 free consultations, 192 rescue referrals, and 282 document writing assistance, providing practical assistance to citizens to overcome crisis situations.

Currently, Legal Home Doctor offers consultations at three locations: Daejeon City Hall, Yuseong-gu Office, and Dong-gu Office.
