8일 신년 기자회견서 2026년 대전교육 5대 정책 방향 발표 

진로융합교육원 본격 가동, IB 프로그램 확대… 에듀테크 기반 수업 혁신 주력

초3 방과후 바우처 신설·특수학교 설립 추진 등 ‘책임교육’ 강화

대전시교육청이 ‘병오년(丙午年)’ 새해를 맞아 인공지능(AI)과 디지털 전환이 일상화된 미래 사회를 선도할 대전형 창의융합인재 양성에 총력을 기울인다.

설동호 대전광역시교육감은 8일 오전 시교육청 브리핑룸에서 신년 기자회견을 열고, ‘행복한 학교, 미래를 여는 대전교육’ 실현을 위한 2026년도 주요 정책과 중점 추진 과제를 발표했다.

대전교육청은 올해 미래형 학습환경 강화를 최우선 과제로 삼았다. 지난해 개원한 대전진로융합교육원의 6개 체험마을 프로그램을 본격 가동하고, 2030년까지 단계적으로 추진되는 ‘동행 성장 4인성’ 계획을 통해 성찰과 공감을 갖춘 인재를 기른다.

특히 과학 도시 대전의 특색을 살린 ‘노벨과학 꿈키움 프로젝트 2.0’을 내실화하고, 독도·역사교육과 연계한 체험 중심 역사교육을 강화해 올바른 국가관을 지닌 미래 시민을 육성한다.

수업 방식에도 대대적인 변화가 찾아온다. 질문과 토론이 일상화되는 학교 문화를 조성하기 위해 ‘질문하는 학교’ 10교와 ‘질문하는 학급’ 160학급을 운영한다.

디지털 대전환에 발맞춰 AI 중점학교를 24교로, AI·디지털 활용 선도학교를 35교로 확대한다. 또한, 학습자 주도의 수업 혁신 모델인 IB(국제바칼로레아) 프로그램 운영 학교를 단계적으로 늘리고, 교원의 전문성 향상을 위한 국외 연수 등 맞춤형 지원을 강화해 ‘미래형 교실’을 완성할 방침이다.

교육 기회 보장을 위한 복지 정책도 한층 두터워진다. 

올해부터 초등학교 3학년 학생에게 연간 50만 원의 방과후 프로그램 이용권(바우처)을 지원하며, 4~6학년에게는 ‘온동네 방과후·돌봄센터’를 통해 골프, 클라이밍 등 특색 있는 프로그램을 제공한다.

특수교육 분야에서는 서남부 지역 특수학교 설립을 본격 추진하고, 정원 초과 특수학급에 교사를 추가 배치하는 등 여건 개선에 힘쓴다. 아울러 ‘학생맞춤통합지원법’ 시행에 따라 시교육청 내 지원센터를 구축, 위기 학생에게 맞춤형 통합 서비스를 제공한다.

학교 안전과 교권 보호를 위한 인프라도 대폭 확충된다. 관내 모든 학교의 석면 제거를 완료하고, 등하교 안심 알리미 서비스를 초등 1~2학년 전체로 확대한다. 또한 ‘교육활동보호 직통번호’ 개설과 마음건강 지원 확대를 통해 교원이 오직 교육활동에만 전념할 수 있는 환경을 구축한다.
