대전과 충남지역 교육 관련 4개 노동조합이 2일 오전 대전시의회 앞에서 공동 기자회견을 열고 정치권이 추진 중인 대전·충남 행정통합 논의에 강력히 반대 입장을 밝혔다.

이날 기자회견에는 △대전광역시교육청공무원노동조합 △대전교사노동조합 △충청남도교육청노동조합 △충남교사노동조합이 참여했다. 이들은 “대전·충남 행정통합은 교육 주체의 의견을 배제한 정치적 밀실 야합”이라며 “교육자치의 헌법적 가치를 훼손하는 졸속 추진을 즉각 중단하라”고 촉구했다.

노조들은 성명에서 “행정통합 논의 과정에서 시·도민의 의견 수렴이나 공론화 과정이 전혀 이뤄지지 않았다”며 “주권자의 목소리를 배제한 통합은 민주주의에 대한 명백한 배신”이라고 비판했다. 이어 “특히 교육 분야가 정치적 타협의 도구로 전락하고 있으며, 현장의 교사와 학부모, 학생이 큰 혼란에 빠질 수 있다”고 우려를 나타냈다.
