세종시 장군면 주민들이 한국전력공사의 ‘신계룡~북천안 간 345kV 송전선로 건설사업’이 세종시를 경유하는 계획에 강하게 반대하며 집단행동에 나섰다.

장군면 주민들은 26일 장군면 일대에서 기자회견과 함께 반대 집회를 열고 “세종시민의 동의 없는 일방적인 송전선로 추진은 결코 받아들일 수 없다”며 계획 철회를 촉구했다.

주민대책위원회는 이날 발표한 성명서를 통해 “사업이 2023년 5월부터 논의됐음에도, 2025년 11월 현재까지 6차 회의가 진행되는 동안 주민은 어떤 내용을 알 기회조차 없었다”며 “한국전력공사가 세종시민의 알 권리를 철저히 외면했다”고 비판했다.

이들은 “주민 설명회 한 번 없이 노선을 사실상 확정하고, 국가사업이라는 이유로 세종시민의 희생을 전제로 밀어붙이는 것은 명백한 절차 위반”이라며 “세종시 경유 계획을 전면 백지화하거나 대체 노선을 적극 검토하라”고 요구했다.

또한 주민들은 “송전선로가 통과하면 지역의 생활환경과 재산가치가 훼손되고, 장기적으로 시민 건강과 생태환경에 악영향을 미칠 수 있다”고 우려를 표했다.
