더불어민주당이 19~20일 실시하는 전당원 투표를 통해 지방선거 후보자 선출 방식을 전면 개편할지 관심이 쏠린다. 당헌‧당규 개정안에는 기존의 대표‧권리당원 투표 반영 비율(20:1)을 폐지하고 ‘1인 1표제’를 도입하는 내용이 포함돼 있다.

한편 이번 투표에는 대의원‧권리당원 1인 1표제 도입 ,비례대표 선출 방식 변경 ,예비경선 확대 등 당내 민주주의 강화 및 ‘당원 주권 시대’ 실현을 위한 다양한 개정안이 포함됐다.

투표는 19일부터 20일까지 온라인으로 진행되며, 10월 당비를 납부한 권리당원 약 164만여 명이 참여할 수 있다. 당내 경선 구조가 새로 바뀔지 결과에 시선이 쏠려 있다.
