세종시가 지난 15일부터 16일까지 남세종종합청소년센터에서 교육발전특구 사업의 성과를 공유하고, 청소년시설 10곳의 활동 결과물을 전시하는 ‘세·청·담(세종 청소년을 담다)’ 행사를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

올해 처음 열린 이번 행사는 한 해 동안 관내 청소년시설이 추진한 다양한 활동 성과를 한눈에 살펴볼 수 있는 자리로 마련됐다. 특히 교육부의 특별교부금 5억 원을 지원받아 진행된 교육발전특구 사업 ‘세종 청소년 한글과 문화, 세계를 열다’ 프로젝트의 결과물을 시민과 함께 나누며 의미를 더했다.

‘교육발전특구 사업’은 지역에서 학습한 인재가 세종에 정주하고 성장하는 선순환 교육 생태계를 조성하기 위한 핵심 정책이다. 그 일환으로 추진된 이번 프로젝트는 세종 청소년의 한글사랑, 문화감수성, 과학기술 역량을 아우르는 3개 분야 7개 사업으로 구성됐다.

이 가운데 과학 분야 창업인재 육성지원사업에 참여한 청소년 20개 팀(47명)은 지난 6일 세종청년취업박람회장에서 직접 개발한 신개념 독서대와 인공지능(AI) 기반 개인형이동장치 등 창의적인 아이디어 제품을 선보이며 관람객의 큰 관심을 받았다. 

또 창조문화 분야 청소년 10개 팀(64명)은 10월 열린 세종한글축제 댄스 경연대회 무대에 올라 재능과 열정을 뽐냈다.

이 밖에도 사람책 도서관, 한글사랑, 환경, 선도기술 인재육성 등 다양한 프로그램을 통해 세종시 청소년 8200여 명이 참여하며 폭넓은 경험과 성취를 쌓았다.

‘세·청·담’ 행사 기간에는 청소년 및 지역 주민 300여 명이 참관한 가운데 버스킹 공연, 체험 프로그램, 전시 등 청소년시설이 준비한 다채로운 부대행사도 함께 열려 현장 분위기를 더욱 풍성하게 만들었다.

Sejong City announced that it held the "Se-Cheong-Dam" event (Containing Sejong Youth) at the Namsejong Youth Center from September 15th to 16th. This event shared the achievements of the Education Development Special Zone project and showcased the activities of 10 youth facilities.

This inaugural event offered a glimpse into the diverse activities undertaken by youth facilities throughout the year. The event was particularly meaningful as it shared the results of the "Sejong Youth Hangul and Culture, Opening the World" project, a special Education Development Special Zone project supported by a KRW 500 million grant from the Ministry of Education.

The "Education Development Special Zone Project" is a key policy aimed at fostering a virtuous educational ecosystem where locally trained talent can settle and thrive in Sejong. This project, implemented as part of this initiative, comprised seven projects in three areas, encompassing Sejong youth's love of Hangeul, cultural sensitivity, and scientific and technological capabilities.

Among these projects, 20 youth teams (47 participants) participated in the Science Entrepreneurship Development Support Project, showcasing creative ideas such as a new-concept reading stand and an AI-based personal mobility device at the Sejong Youth Job Fair on the 6th, drawing keen attention from visitors.

Furthermore, 10 youth teams (64 participants) in the Creative Culture category showcased their talents and passion on stage at the Sejong Hangeul Festival Dance Competition held in October.

Moreover, approximately 8,200 Sejong City youth participated in various programs, including the Human Book Library, Hangeul Love, Environment, and Leading Technology Talent Development, gaining a wide range of experiences and accomplishments.

During the ‘Se·Cheong·Dam’ event, around 300 youth and local residents attended, and various side events prepared by youth facilities, such as busking performances, experience programs, and exhibitions, were also held, enriching the atmosphere of the event.
