충남 아산시의회가 16일 제262회 임시회를 열고 11일간의 공식 의정활동에 들어갔다. 이번 회기에서는 조례안과 기타 안건 등 총 50건을 심사하고, 주요 사업장 방문과 시정질문을 통해 시정 운영 전반을 점검할 계획이다.

본회의에 앞서 열린 5분 자유발언에서는 명노봉 의원이 ‘아산형 외국인노동자 지원체계 마련 필요성’을, 김미성 의원이 ‘AI도시 아산 조성의 중요성’을, 천철호 의원이 ‘재난 대응력을 강화한 안전한 아산 준비’를 각각 제안하며 다양한 시정 현안을 제기했다.

제1차 본회의에서는 회기 결정, 회의록 서명 의원 선출, 시장 및 관계 공무원 출석 요구, 주요 사업장 현장방문 추진, 각종 위원회 위원 추천 등 안건을 처리했다.

이번 임시회는 16일 본회의를 시작으로 17일 상임위원회 심사, 18~19일 주요 현장방문, 22~25일 시정질문을 거쳐 26일 제6차 본회의로 마무리될 예정이다. 

홍성표 의장은 개회사를 통해 “시민의 목소리를 반영해 행정이 올바른 방향으로 나아갈 수 있도록 시정질문을 적극 실시하겠다”며 “현장을 직접 찾아 행정이 어떻게 작동하는지 확인하고, 그 결과를 정책에 반영해 시민 행복과 지역 발전에 기여하겠다”고 강조했다.

의원들은 이번 회기를 통해 시민 생활과 직결되는 현안에 대해 심도 있는 논의를 이어갈 전망이다.
