대전시의회 민경배 의원(국민의힘·중구3)이 지역 보육환경과 보육 교직원 처우 개선에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 감사패를 수상했다.

민 의원은 제9대 시의회에서 전반기 복지환경위원장과 후반기 예산결산특별위원장으로 활동하며, 보육 정책과 예산 확보에 힘써 왔다. 

특히 ‘대전광역시 가족돌봄아동 보호 및 지원 조례’를 발의해 가족 돌봄 아동을 위한 제도적 기반을 마련했으며, 어린이집의 반별 운영비 증액과 보육 교직원 마음건강수당 지원을 확대하는 데 앞장섰다. 

이러한 노력이 지역 민간 어린이집의 운영 안정과 보육 교직원 권익 증진에 실질적으로 기여했다는 평가다.

민경배 의원은 “재정 여건이 녹록지 않아 예산 확보 과정에서 어려움이 많았지만, 어린이집 현장의 목소리를 반영해 보육환경 개선과 교직원 권익 보호에 조금이나마 보탬이 될 수 있어 의미 있게 생각한다”며, “앞으로도 지역 어린이집을 비롯해 교육환경 전반을 개선하는 데 힘을 다하겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

Daejeon City Council Member Min Kyung-bae (People Power Party, Jung-gu District 3) received a plaque of appreciation in recognition of his contributions to improving the local childcare environment and the treatment of childcare staff.

Assembly Member Min served as Chair of the Welfare and Environment Committee in the first half of the 9th City Council and Chair of the Budget and Settlement Special Committee in the second half, where he has worked tirelessly to secure childcare policies and budget.

In particular, he proposed the "Daejeon Metropolitan City Ordinance on the Protection and Support of Children in Family Care," establishing an institutional foundation for children in family care. He also spearheaded efforts to increase operating costs for each class at daycare centers and expand mental health allowances for childcare staff.

These efforts are recognized as having contributed substantially to the stable operation of local private daycare centers and the promotion of childcare staff rights and interests.
