충남도의회 행정문화위원회(위원장 박기영)는 16일 열린 제361회 임시회 제3차 회의에서 문화체육관광국 소관 조례안과 출연계획안, 동의안 등 14건을 심사하며 충남의 문화유산 보존과 관광정책 전반에 대한 개선을 요구했다.

위원들은 이번 회의에서 문화유산을 기반으로 한 관광 활성화 ,충남 농수산물 연계 사은품 제공 등 참여자 중심의 행사 운영 ,중앙정부 관광 예산 확보 강화 ,무형유산 보유자 감소 대응 ,외국인 관광객 대상 전문 마케팅 ,관광해설사 처우 개선과 인력 확충 등을 공통 현안으로 제기했다.

특히 문화유산과 무형유산 관리와 관련해 “지역경제 활성화와 엮인 문화관광 정책은 충남의 미래 발전 동력”이라며, 단순 보존을 넘어 체계적인 관리 방안을 마련해야 한다는 목소리가 나왔다. 또 청년층이 참여할 수 있는 관광해설사 신규 인력 발굴과 처우 개선을 통해 지속 가능한 관광 경쟁력을 확보해야 한다는 점도 강조됐다.

아울러 ‘걷쥬’ 등 생활참여형 관광 프로그램 운영과 관련해 도민이 직접 참여해 만족도를 높일 수 있는 다양한 방식 도입 필요성이 제기됐고, 외국인 관광 마케팅은 디지털 홍보, 다국어 서비스, 교통 인프라 강화 등 종합적 전략이 필요하다는 의견이 이어졌다.

행문위 관계자는 “무형유산 보유자 감소와 같은 현안은 물론, 중앙정부 예산 확보나 관광해설사 고령화 문제 또한 시급히 대응해야 할 과제”라며, “충남의 문화와 관광 경쟁력을 높이기 위해 실효성 있는 정책 개선 방안을 마련하겠다”고 밝혔다.
