대전시의회 이금선 교육위원장(국민의힘·유성구4)이 지역 보육환경 개선과 보육 교직원 권익 증진에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 감사패를 받았다.

시의회는 16일 이금선 위원장이 제9대 후반기 교육위원회 활동을 통해 민간 어린이집 지원 확대와 보육 현장 여건 개선에 힘쓴 점이 높이 평가됐다고 밝혔다.

이 위원장은 영유아 보육료 동결 문제와 관련해 보육료 인상을 촉구하는 대정부 건의안을 발의했으며, 보육 교직원의 권익 증진을 위한 기본계획 수립과 실태조사 추진에도 앞장섰다. 

또한 ‘대전형 시간제 보육’, ‘놀이체험시설 지원’ 등을 담은 조례를 마련해 보육 지원의 형평성과 범위를 넓혔고, 반별 운영비 확대 및 교직원 마음건강수당 증액 등 실질적인 지원책 마련에도 기여했다.

이금선 위원장은 “보육 현장 실무자와 학부모의 목소리를 바탕으로 조례와 제도를 정비해 어린이집 지원이 한층 확대된 것이 큰 보람”이라며 “앞으로도 보육 가족과 긴밀히 소통하며 아이들이 행복하게 성장할 수 있는 환경 조성에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
