대전 학생들의 인공지능(AI)·소프트웨어(SW) 역량 강화를 위해 지역 교육기관과 대학이 손을 맞잡았다.

대전시교육청은 16일 대전대학교 30주년 기념관에서 대전대학교와 ‘AI·SW 교육 활성화를 위한 업무협약’을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 이번 협약은 초·중·고 학생들에게 체험형 AI·SW 교육 기회를 확대하고, 교사의 전문성을 뒷받침하는 체계를 강화하는 데 목적이 있다.

양 기관은 앞으로 초·중·고 대상 AI·SW 체험 수업과 로봇 교육 ,고교 AI·SW 동아리 멘토링 지원 ,다문화·취약계층을 위한 디지털 격차 해소 프로그램 공동 운영 ,교사 대상 기초·심화 연수 협력 ,AI 로봇 체험관 운영 및 첨단 기자재 활용 ,지속가능한 지역 SW 인재 양성 모델 발굴 등 다양한 사업을 추진한다.

이번 협력은 단순한 체험 수업을 넘어, 학생 맞춤형 AI·SW 교육과 교사 연수를 병행해 교육 현장의 수요를 충실히 반영하고 있다는 점에서 의의가 크다. 특히 다문화 가정과 취약계층 학생을 대상으로 한 디지털 포용 프로그램은 교육 복지 확대와 정보격차 해소의 대표 사례가 될 전망이다.
