세종시가 오는 18일부터 어르신들을 위한 의료·돌봄 복지 서비스를 통합 지원하는 시범사업을 본격 추진한다고 밝혔다.

‘의료·돌봄 통합지원 시범사업’은 고령층이 일상생활에서 겪는 다양한 어려움을 해소하고, 의료·요양·돌봄 등 꼭 필요한 복지서비스를 한 번에 제공하기 위해 마련됐다. 

세종시의 이번 조치는 그동안 각각 다르게 운영되던 서비스가 대상자 중심으로 통합돼 제공되는 것이 특징이다.

이번 시범사업은 지난해 제정된 ‘돌봄통합지원법’의 내년 본격 시행에 앞서, 현장 의견과 실질적 성과를 사전 도출하기 위해 선제적으로 시행된다.

통합 지원 대상자는 장기요양 재가급여 수급자, 장기요양 등급외 대상자, 퇴원 환자 등이며, 요양병원 또는 관련 시설 입소를 앞둔 75세 이상 어르신이 포함된다.

이들 대상자에게는 전문 인력이 직접 찾아가는 ‘재택의료센터’, 지역밀착형 ‘경로당 주치의’, 방문 건강관리 서비스 ‘온마을 돌봄’ 등 보건의료와 요양, 생활지원, 주거 등 4대 분야 총 30개 서비스를 체계적으로 지원할 예정이다.

해당 사업 신청은 본인 또는 보호자가 거주지 읍면동 행정복지센터나 국민건강보험공단 세종지사에서 가능하다.

세종시는 사업 대상자 발굴을 위해 직접 가정 방문, 전화 및 문자 메시지를 통한 안내 등 적극적인 홍보와 상담 지원도 병행해 시범사업의 효과를 높일 계획이다.
