대전교통공사가 행정안전부가 주관하는 공공데이터 개방 및 활용 평가에서 디지털 정부 혁신에 기여한 공로를 인정받아 최우수기관으로 선정되며 영예로운 장관상 표창을 수상했다고 오늘(6일) 밝혔다. 

이번 평가는 중앙행정기관, 지방자치단체, 공공기관 등 총 679개 기관을 대상으로 △관리 체계 △공공데이터 품질 △공공데이터 개방·활용의 3개 분야 11개 세부 지표를 통해 평가가 이뤄 졌고, 대전교통공사가 가장 빛나는 성과를 거두었다.

대전교통공사는 이미 공공데이터 분야에서 두각을 나타내왔다.

지난 '2024년 공공데이터 제공 운영실태 평가'에서는 관리 체계 분야에서 만점을 받는 등 전반적인 항목에서 아주 높은 평가를 받았고, 특히, 지난해 11월 행정·공공기관 대상 '데이터 품질인증 심사'에서는 100점 만점을 획득하며 ‘최우수 기관’으로 인정받는 등 데이터 품질 면에서도 그 실력을 유감없이 발휘했다. 

무엇보다 대전교통공사의 데이터 활용은 실제 현장에서 시민들의 문제를 해결하는 데 앞장서고 있고, 지난해에는 행정안전부 통합데이터분석센터와 손을 잡고 공유자전거 ‘타슈’의 재배치 효율성을 높이는 분석을 진행했었다.

또 지역 대학과 협력해 교통약자 이동지원 차량의 차고지를 개선하는 등 공공데이터를 기반으로 실질적인 정책을 발굴하고 실행에 옮기며 시민들의 삶에 긍정적인 변화를 가져오고 있다.
