대전시가 과학기술정보통신부 주관 ‘생물리환경 조절 원천기술 기반 첨단바이오의약품 제조 효율화’ 공모사업에 최종 선정되며, 첨단 바이오의약품 제조 혁신을 위한 원천기술 개발에 박차를 가한다.

이번 사업 선정으로 대전시는 총 69억 8,400만 원의 사업비를 확보, 2029년까지 산·연·관 협력 체계를 구축해 차세대 재생 바이오의약품 분야를 선도할 생물리환경 조절 원천기술 개발에 집중할 계획이다. 

특히, 줄기세포와 오가노이드 같은 첨단 바이오의약품 제조 시 낮은 재현성과 효율성 문제를 개선하는 데 목적을 두고 있다.

공모에는 한국생명공학연구원, 대전시, 대전테크노파크가 컨소시엄을 이뤄 참여했으며, 엄격한 서면 및 발표 평가를 통해 대전 컨소시엄이 최종 선정됐다. 

한국생명공학연구원이 연구 총괄을 맡아 생물리환경 조절 원천기술과 응용연구 개발을 진행하고, 대전시는 관련 장비 개발 및 국산화, 산학연 연구개발 과제 수행을 담당한다.

또한, 개발된 기술과 인프라를 지역 기업에 적극 개방하여 지역 산업 경쟁력 강화와 기술사업화로 연계될 수 있도록 지원한다는 계획이다.

대전시는 이번 사업을 통해 첨단바이오의약품 제조 분야에서 국내 핵심 원천기술을 선제적으로 확보하고, 바이오헬스산업 경쟁력 제고와 지역 경제 활성화에 기여할 것으로 기대하고 있다.
