대전시를 대표하는 여름 축제, ‘2025 대전 0시 축제’가 오는 8월 8일부터 16일까지 9일간 중앙로 일원 등 대전 원도심에서 화려하게 펼쳐진다. 

0시 축제는 지난해 200만 명의 관람객을 유치하며 전국적 주목을 받은 데 이어, 올해는 ‘대전의 과거-현재-미래로 떠나는 시간여행’을 주제로 더욱 풍성한 콘텐츠와 체험 프로그램으로 관람객을 맞이할 예정이다.

대전시는 16일 시청 대회의실에서 이장우 시장과 축제추진위원회가 참석한 가운데 마지막 추진점검회의를 열고, 행사 구성, 교통 대책, 프로그램 연출 등 최종 사항을 점검했다.

중앙로 1km 전 구간에서는 매일 다른 테마의 대형 거리 퍼레이드가 진행된다. 해외 공연단, 대학 응원단, 전통 민속놀이팀, 오토바이 동호회 등 다채로운 구성의 팀들이 퍼레이드카와 함께 참여해 도심에 축제 열기를 더한다. 

특히 8월 15일 광복절에는 광복 80주년을 기념해 대규모 시민 퍼레이드와 군악의장대 공연이 펼쳐진다.

먹거리·볼거리 콘텐츠도 강화됐다. 대전역 앞에는 빵 명소를 소개하는 ‘빵(0)시존’, 열차 테마의 레트로 공간, 복고댄스와 옛날 게임 콘텐츠 등의 과거 테마 공간이 조성된다. 

반면 옛 충남도청 일대에는 VR, 4D 체험과 미래산업 기술을 소개하는 ‘미래과학체험존’이 확장되며, 패밀리 테마파크와 가족 뮤지컬도 함께 선보인다.

음악과 예술이 어우러지는 예술형 프린지 프로그램도 주목된다. 도심 소공연장, 거리, 갤러리 등에서 진행되는 ‘대전보러 페스티벌’은 전시·공연·체험이 한자리에 모인 색다른 문화 공간을 제공할 예정이다.

특설무대에서 펼쳐지는 K-POP 콘서트와 시민 대합창, 시립예술단 공연 등은 축제 분위기를 고조시킨다. 꿈돌이와 가족 캐릭터 ‘꿈씨패밀리’ 관련 콘텐츠도 확대된다. AR 캐릭터 체험, 꿈돌이 굿즈 팝업스토어, 포토존 등은 다자녀·가족 관람객을 집중 공략한다.

대전의 여름 명소인 목척교에도 ‘꿈돌이 아이스호텔’이라는 몰입형 미디어아트 체험관이 들어서 청량감을 선사하며, 대형 미스트 터널 등 무더위를 피할 수 있는 쿨링 시설도 강화된다.

축제 기간인 8월 6일 새벽부터 17일 자정까지 중앙로는 전면 차량 통제된다. 시는 시내버스 우회 운영과 교통인프라 모니터링, 교통 통제 인력 배치 등으로 시민 불편을 최소화할 방침이다. 특히 관람객 편의를 위해 대전역과 옛 충남도청 등을 잇는 순환버스와 ‘꿈돌이 중앙로 순환열차’도 임시 운행한다.
