충남도립대학교 진로심리상담센터가 재학생과 교직원의 상담 전문성을 높이기 위한 교육 프로그램을 성황리에 마무리했다. 

7월 3일부터 4일까지 보령시 호텔쏠레르에서 열린 이번 '2025년 또래상담자 및 교직원 대상 상담역량 강화 프로그램'은 상담의 기초부터 실습까지 아우르며 실질적 역량 제고에 초점을 맞췄다.

총 55명이 참여한 이번 연수는 학생의 심리적 안정과 진로 발달을 체계적으로 지원하고, 상담을 수행하는 교직원의 전문성을 강화하기 위해 기획됐다. 이틀간 진행된 교육은 참여자 간의 상호작용과 실전 중심 학습을 통해 상담에 대한 이해와 실무 능력을 동시에 키우는 데 집중했다.

교육 첫날은 교직원과 재학생을 분리해 맞춤형 프로그램이 운영됐다. 교직원을 대상으로는 진로상담의 이론적 기반과 최신 직업정보 탐색 및 제공 방안 등이 강의됐고, 학생들을 위해서는 심리상담의 기본 이론, 대화 유형에 따른 소통 방식, 건강한 관계 맺기 기법 등이 실습과 함께 진행됐다.

둘째 날에는 학생과 교직원이 함께하는 통합 실습 과정을 통해 전날 습득한 이론을 실제 상담 상황에 적용해보는 시간이 마련됐다. 역할극과 피드백을 통해 서로의 입장을 이해하고 상담 기술을 체득하면서 참가자들은 상담자로서의 역량뿐 아니라 협업 감수성까지 함께 키웠다는 평가를 받았다.

박민호 충남도립대 취업지원처장은 “학생과 교직원이 함께 배우며 서로의 역할을 이해하고 상담에 대한 공감대를 확장하는 소중한 시간이었다”며, “이번 프로그램을 계기로 대학의 상담 문화가 더욱 활성화되고, 학생 중심의 지원 체계가 내실 있게 강화되길 바란다”고 말했다.

충남도립대학교 진로심리상담센터는 이번 교육을 시작으로 교직원의 전문 역량 강화와 학내 협업 기반을 더욱 체계화해 나갈 방침이다. 아울러 학생들에게는 또래상담자로서의 역할 수행에 필요한 자신감, 진로 설계 역량, 소통 능력 향상을 위한 실질적 지원을 지속해나갈 계획이다.

Chungnam National University Career Counseling Center successfully completed an educational program to enhance the counseling expertise of current students and faculty.

The '2025 Peer Counselor and Faculty Counseling Capacity Enhancement Program' held at Hotel Solaire in Boryeong from July 3rd to 4th focused on improving practical capabilities, covering everything from the basics of counseling to practice.

This training, in which a total of 55 people participated, was planned to systematically support students' psychological stability and career development, and to enhance the expertise of faculty and staff who conduct counseling. The two-day training focused on simultaneously developing understanding and practical skills in counseling through interaction between participants and practical learning.

On the first day of the training, customized programs were operated by separating faculty and students. For faculty, the theoretical basis of career counseling and the latest job information exploration and provision methods were lectured on, and for students, the basic theory of psychological counseling, communication methods according to conversation type, and techniques for forming healthy relationships were conducted along with practical training.

On the second day, there was a time for students and faculty to apply the theories they learned the day before to actual counseling situations through an integrated practical course. Through role-playing and feedback, participants were evaluated as having developed not only their capabilities as counselors but also their sensitivity to collaboration while understanding each other’s positions and acquiring counseling skills.

Park Min-ho, Director of Chungnam National University’s Career Support Center, said, “It was a valuable time for students and faculty to learn together, understand each other’s roles, and expand their empathy for counseling,” and added, “I hope that this program will further activate the university’s counseling culture and solidify the student-centered support system.”

Starting with this training, Chungnam National University’s Career Counseling Center plans to further strengthen the professional capabilities of faculty and staff and systematize the foundation for collaboration within the university. In addition, it plans to continue to provide practical support to students to improve their confidence, career planning capabilities, and communication skills necessary for performing their roles as peer counselors.
