침체된 지역 건설경기 회복을 위해 대전시가 본격적인 대응에 나섰다. 대전시는 7월 3일 시청 대회의실에서 재개발·재건축 조합장 및 건설 관련 유관 협회장들과 함께 간담회를 열고, 현장의 애로사항을 청취하며 실질적인 해법을 모색했다.

이번 간담회는 최근 1분기 건설공사 실적이 감소세를 보이는 등 전반적인 건설경기 둔화에 대응하기 위해 마련됐다. 현장에는 이장우 대전시장을 비롯해 50여 명의 조합장과 협회 관계자들이 참석해, 실무 중심의 논의가 이뤄졌다.

이 자리에서 대전시는 건설경기 활성화를 위한 주요 과제를 제시했다. 설계 용역과 원도급·하도급 공사에 지역 건설업체의 참여를 확대하고, 지역업체의 기술력과 경쟁력 강화를 위한 지원 방안도 마련하겠다는 입장이다. 

또한 유관 협회와의 상생협력 체계를 강화하고, 건설 관련 정보 제공을 확대하는 한편, 정비조합과 협회 간의 협업 체계도 보다 유기적으로 구축하겠다는 계획이다.

협회 측에서는 실질적인 지역업체 참여 확대를 위해 공사 구간을 나눠 발주하는 ‘공구 분할’과 지역 시공사에 대한 인센티브 제공 방안을 제안했다. 조합 측 역시 행정 절차 간소화와 인허가 과정에서 발생하는 비용 부담 완화를 요청하는 등 현장의 어려움을 전달했다.

대전시는 이 같은 현장 의견을 바탕으로 정책 반영 여부를 면밀히 검토하겠다고 밝혔다. 

특히 이장우 시장은 "오늘 논의된 사항을 실무적으로 잘 정리해 지역 건설업체의 참여가 실질적으로 확대될 수 있는 방안을 만들겠다"며, "건설업계와 지속적인 소통을 이어가면서 지역경제의 활력을 되살리는 데 집중하겠다"고 강조했다.
