충청남도교육청이 지역 내 초등학생을 대상으로 ‘이동형 수영장’을 활용한 생존수영 실기교육을 본격적으로 시행한다.

이번 사업은 지역 간 수영교육 인프라의 불균형을 해소하고, 모든 학생이 안전하게 수영교육을 받을 수 있도록 마련된 정책으로, 수영장이 부족한 농어촌이나 외곽 지역 학교들도 혜택을 받을 수 있다. 

특히, 별도의 이동 없이 학교 운동장이나 유휴공간에 설치된 이동형 수영장에서 수업이 진행돼 이동 중 사고 위험도 최소화된다.

생존수영 수업은 충남교육청이 자체 개발한 ‘충남형 생존수영 표준교육과정’을 기반으로 운영되며, 한 차시당 80분 동안 구명조끼 착용법, 부력 이해, 생존영법, 생존 뜨기 등 실제 위급 상황에 대비한 체험 중심 교육이 이루어진다. 

물에 들어가기 어려운 학생들을 위한 지상 훈련 프로그램도 함께 제공되어 포용적 교육이 가능하다. 교육을 이수한 학생에게는 인증서도 수여될 예정이다.

이동형 수영장은 단순한 풀장이 아닌, 이론 교육 공간, 샤워실, 탈의실 등으로 구성된 종합 생존수영교육장으로 운영되며, 매일 수질관리와 위생점검을 통해 청결을 유지한다. 또한 CCTV 설치와 출입 통제 등 보안에도 만전을 기하고 있다.

김지철 충남교육감은 “이동형 수영장 도입은 체육 교육의 접근성을 높이고, 학생들이 실제로 생명을 지킬 수 있는 실질적인 교육이 될 것”이라며, “앞으로 더 많은 학교로 확대해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

In particular, classes are conducted in mobile swimming pools installed in school playgrounds or idle spaces without separate transportation, minimizing the risk of accidents during movement.

Survival swimming classes are operated based on the ‘Chungnam-style Survival Swimming Standard Curriculum’ developed by the Chungnam Office of Education, and each class lasts 80 minutes and provides hands-on experience-oriented education in preparation for actual emergency situations, such as how to wear a life jacket, understanding buoyancy, survival swimming, and survival floating.

A ground training program is also provided for students who have difficulty entering the water, enabling inclusive education. Certificates will also be awarded to students who complete the education.

The mobile swimming pool is not just a simple swimming pool, but is operated as a comprehensive survival swimming education center consisting of a theory education space, shower room, and changing room, and is maintained clean through daily water quality management and hygiene inspection.
