대전시의회 복지환경위원회 이한영 의원이 3일, 월평3동 은평근린공원에서 진행 중인 산책로 정비사업 현장을 찾아 점검 활동을 벌였다.

이날 현장에는 박영철 대전시 녹지국장과 심순섭 서구청 공원녹지과장 등 시·구 관계자들이 함께 동행해 사업 진행 상황과 주민 편의시설 설치 현황 등을 꼼꼼히 살폈다.

은평근린공원 산책로 정비사업은 시민들의 여가 활용과 보행 편의 증진을 목표로 대전시가 시비 2억7천만 원을 투입해 추진 중이다. 주요 사업 내용은 마사토 포장 산책로 조성과 함께 야간 이용을 위한 바닥 조명 설치, 시민 위생을 고려한 세족시설 등을 포함하고 있다.

현재 공사는 순조롭게 진행 중이며, 오는 7월 20일 준공을 목표로 막바지 작업이 한창이다.

이한영 의원은 “은평공원은 인근 주민들의 산책과 휴식을 위한 소중한 공간”이라며 “철저한 현장 점검을 통해 시민들이 더욱 안전하고 쾌적하게 이용할 수 있도록 끝까지 관심을 갖고 챙기겠다”고 밝혔다.
