충남교육청(교육감 김지철)이 장애학생의 진로 설계에서 대학 진학, 그리고 취업에 이르는 전 과정을 통합적으로 지원하기 위한 다양한 교육 프로그램을 펼치고 있다.

지난 7월 2일 아산시청소년교육문화센터 스마트홀에서는 ‘2025 특수교육대상학생 진로진학설계 특강’이 개최됐다. 사회적기업 ‘꿈앤컴퍼니’의 박대수 대표가 강사로 참여해 장애학생 진로 설계의 체계적 접근법과 보호자가 담당할 역할, 그리고 진학과 취업을 자연스럽게 연계할 수 있는 구체적인 방안을 사례 중심으로 설명했다. 

특히 학생 개개인의 강점을 살려 현실적이고 지속 가능한 진로를 계획하는 중요성을 강조하며 보호자들로부터 큰 호응을 얻었다.

이어 7월 3일 같은 장소에서 열린 ‘2025 특수교육대상학생 대학입학설명회’에는 발달장애학생 입학을 지원하는 6개 대학(강동대, 나사렛대, 대전보건대, 유원대, 한경국립대, 안산대) 관계자가 참석해 전형 절차, 대학 내 지원 시스템, 졸업 후 진로 연계 방안 등을 상세히 안내했다. 

설명회 후에는 보호자와 교사들이 대학 관계자와 1:1 상담을 통해 개별 맞춤 정보를 얻는 시간도 마련됐다.

앞서 6월 19일 충남공감마루에서는 ‘2025 특수교육대상학생 취업지원 교육공동체 배움자리’가 진행됐다. 

이 자리에는 논산시사람꽃복지관, 한국장애인고용공단 대전직업능력개발원, 장애인기업종합지원센터 등 관련 기관들이 함께해 현장실습과 취업 지원 방법, 보호자의 역할 강화, 네트워크 구축 방안 등에 대해 폭넓게 논의하고 1:1 맞춤 상담도 진행했다.

충남교육청 관계자는 “장애학생이 자신만의 강점을 살려 안정적인 사회 진출을 할 수 있도록 진로·진학·취업 지원 체계를 더욱 촘촘히 마련해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

Chungnam Office of Education Strengthens Customized Support for Disabled Students’ Career Paths, College Advancement, and Employment

Chungnam Office of Education (Superintendent Kim Ji-cheol) is carrying out various educational programs to comprehensively support the entire process from career planning to college advancement and employment for disabled students.

On July 2, the Asan City Youth Education and Culture Center Smart Hall hosted the ‘2025 Special Education Student Career Path Design Special Lecture.’ Park Dae-soo, CEO of the social enterprise ‘Dream & Company,’ participated as a lecturer and explained the systematic approach to career planning for disabled students, the roles that guardians should play, and specific ways to naturally link college advancement and employment, based on case studies.

In particular, he emphasized the importance of planning realistic and sustainable career paths by utilizing each student’s individual strengths, which received a great response from guardians.

On July 3, at the same location, the ‘2025 Special Education Student University Entrance Information Session’ was held, and officials from six universities (Kangdong University, Nazareth University, Daejeon Health College, Yuwon University, Hankyung National University, and Ansan University) supporting the admission of students with developmental disabilities attended and provided detailed information on the selection process, support systems within the universities, and career paths after graduation.

After the information session, there was also time for guardians and teachers to receive personalized information through 1:1 consultations with university officials.

Earlier, on June 19, the ‘2025 Special Education Student Employment Support Education Community Learning Center’ was held at Chungnam Gonggam Maru.

At this event, related organizations such as Nonsan City Saramkkot Welfare Center, Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled Daejeon Vocational Ability Development Center, and Disabled Enterprise Comprehensive Support Center participated and discussed a wide range of topics such as field training and employment support methods, strengthening the role of guardians, and network building plans, and also conducted 1:1 customized consultations.

An official from the Chungnam Office of Education said, “We will establish a more detailed career, academic advancement, and employment support system so that students with disabilities can utilize their own strengths to enter society in a stable manner.”
