충남 태안군의 대표 여름 관광지인 만리포해수욕장이 오는 7월 5일, 개장 70주년을 맞아 화려한 여름의 시작을 알린다. 이날을 기점으로 태안 전역 22개 해수욕장도 일제히 개장하며, 본격적인 피서철을 맞이한다.

태안군에 따르면, 개장 당일인 5일 오후 7시 30분부터 만리포해수욕장에서는 ‘2025 만리포 해수욕장 개장식’이 열린다. 이번 행사는 단순한 개장을 넘어 만리포 해변의 70년 역사와, 다가올 ‘2025 태안 방문의 해’를 함께 기념하는 자리로 마련됐다.

개장식은 공식행사와 축하공연으로 구성된다. 1부에서는 가세로 태안군수를 비롯한 관계 인사들의 개장 선언과 함께, 만리포의 역사를 기리는 LED 조명 점등 퍼포먼스가 진행된다.

만리포해수욕장은 8월 24일까지 51일간 운영되며, 꽃지·몽산포 등 나머지 21개 해수욕장은 8월 17일까지 44일간 운영된다. 운영시간은 오전 10시부터 오후 7시까지로, 만리포해수욕장은 8월 13일부터 17일까지 5일간 야간 개장을 실시해 오후 9시까지 연장 운영될 예정이다.
