대전시교육청이 직업계고 학생들의 해외 취업 기반을 강화하기 위해 독일 현지를 직접 찾아 나섰다.

대전시교육청은 오는 6월 21일부터 27일까지 5박 7일 일정으로 독일 프랑크푸르트, 마인츠, 린덴부르크, 슈투트가르트 등지를 방문해 2025학년도 ‘직업계고 글로벌 현장학습(독일인턴십)’ 운영을 위한 사전 점검과 업무협약을 진행한다고 밝혔다.

이번 방문은 대전 직업계고 학생들의 해외 인턴십 프로그램의 질적 안정성과 지속 가능성을 확보하기 위한 것으로, 독일의 우수한 직업교육 시스템을 직접 체험하고, 현지 교육·산업 기관과의 협력 네트워크를 강화하는 데 목적이 있다.

점검단은 독일 헤센주교육청을 찾아 하이케 호프만 사회교육부 장관과 면담하고, 독일 학교의 진로교육 체계와 운영 방식을 공유할 예정이다. 이어 독일 경제 합리화 관리국(RKW Kompetenzzentrum)과의 업무협약을 통해 인턴십 운영 지원 및 취업처 연계를 위한 기반을 다진다.

또한 마인츠 지역에서는 글로벌 유리 제조업체 쇼트(SCHOTT)를 방문해 실제 훈련과정과 근무환경, 복지시설 등을 점검하고, 학생들의 안전하고 안정적인 기업 활동을 위한 협약을 체결한다. 마인츠 직업교육학교(Berufsbildende Schule Mainz)도 함께 방문해 교육과정과 시설 전반을 살펴본다.

린덴부르크에서는 항공장비 제조업체 립헤어-에어로스페이스(Liebherr-Aerospace) 본사를 방문, 기업 대표인 필립 발터와 간담회를 갖고 직업 훈련 및 채용 협력 체계를 구축한다. 립헤어는 2024년 인턴십 참여 학생들의 취업 예정 기업이기도 하다.

슈투트가르트에서는 메르세데스 벤츠, 포르쉐 등 독일 대표 자동차 산업체를 시찰해 학생들의 진로 동기 유발을 위한 산업현장 체험을 병행할 계획이다.

이번 현장 점검은 대전시교육청이 2024년부터 본격 운영 중인 독일 인턴십 프로그램의 연장선이다. 지난해 10월부터 7주간 진행된 1차 인턴십에서는 총 12명의 학생 중 7명이 보쉬(BOSCH) 등 글로벌 기업에 취업을 확정했다.

2025년에는 기계 및 전기전자 분야에서 11명의 학생을 선발, 독일 바이에른주의 레겐스타우프 에커트슐렌(Eckert Schulen)에서 직무 교육과 인턴십을 받을 예정이다. 이를 위해 학생들은 1학년 2학기부터 독일어 중심의 사전 교육과정을 이수하게 된다.
