충남교육청(교육감 김지철)이 장마철을 앞두고 학교 내 재난 취약시설을 선제적으로 점검하며 안전관리에 나섰다. 이번 현장 점검은 여름철 자연재난 종합대책의 일환으로, 집중호우와 태풍 등으로 인한 피해를 최소화하기 위한 사전 예방 조치다.

김지철 교육감은 최근 공주시 소재 공주고등학교와 공주교동초등학교를 직접 찾아 비탈면과 배수시설 등 재난 취약 지점을 점검했다. 두 학교는 과거 집중호우로 인해 토사 유출 및 침수 피해를 입은 바 있는 대표적인 취약지역으로, 현재는 관련 보강공사와 개선 작업이 진행 중이다.
