대전문화재단이 시민과 함께 만드는 예술 생태계 조성에 나섰다. 재단은 6월 19일부터 7월 25일까지 ‘2025년 크라우드펀딩 프로젝트’ 모금 캠페인을 진행하며 지역 예술 발전을 위한 새로운 후원 문화를 확산한다.

이번 크라우드펀딩은 재단의 온라인 기부 플랫폼인 ‘대전예술씨앗’을 통해 진행된다. 시민 누구나 관심 있는 예술 프로젝트를 직접 선택해 최소 5,000원부터 후원에 참여할 수 있다. 후원자에게는 공연 초대권, 아트 상품, 프로그램 참여 기회 등 다양한 혜택이 제공되어 예술과의 접점을 넓힐 수 있도록 했다.

올해 지원 대상은 총 7개의 다양한 프로젝트로, 음악과 미술, 영화 등 여러 장르를 아우른다. 

대표적으로는 감미로운 플루트 연주를 선보이는 ‘대전플루트콰이어 살롱콘서트’, 아름다운 생각의 흐름을 음악으로 표현하는 ‘앙상블 라온’의 공연, 차이콥스키 교향곡 전곡 시리즈 여섯 번째 무대인 ‘유벨톤 심포니 오케스트라’의 공연이 포함됐다. 

또한 ‘빛과 어둠의 서사’를 음악으로 풀어내는 페더릭스 앙상블, 청년 작가들을 지원하는 ‘그린갤러리’ 전시, 한글의 아름다움을 세계로 알리는 한국서예캘리그라피협회의 프로젝트, 지역 단편영화 창작을 활성화하는 ‘대전국제단편영화제’ 등도 선정되었다.

재단 측은 이번 사업을 통해 시민들의 자발적인 참여가 지역 예술계에 실질적 힘을 실어주는 것은 물론, 예술가들에게 안정적인 창작 환경을 제공하는 선순환 구조를 만들고자 한다고 밝혔다. 

예술이 특정 전문가만의 영역이 아니라 시민 모두가 함께 만드는 공공재라는 점을 강조하며, 지역문화의 지속 가능성을 키우는 계기가 될 것으로 기대했다.

백춘희 대전문화재단 대표이사는 “시민 한 사람 한 사람의 작은 참여가 지역 예술의 큰 성장을 이끌 수 있다”며 “크라우드펀딩이라는 새로운 후원 방식을 통해 지역문화가 자립하고 더욱 풍성해지길 바란다”고 전했다.

Daejeon Cultural Foundation, Promoting Creation of Art Ecosystem with Citizens

The Daejeon Cultural Foundation has set out to create an art ecosystem with citizens. From June 19 to July 25, the foundation will conduct a fundraising campaign for the ‘2025 Crowdfunding Project’ to spread a new sponsorship culture for the development of local arts.

This crowdfunding will be conducted through the foundation’s online donation platform, ‘Daejeon Art Seed’. Any citizen can directly select an art project of interest and participate in sponsorship starting from a minimum of 5,000 won. Sponsors will be provided with various benefits such as performance invitations, art products, and opportunities to participate in programs, allowing them to broaden their contact with art.

This year’s support targets a total of 7 diverse projects, covering various genres such as music, art, and film.

Representative performances include the ‘Daejeon Flute Choir Salon Concert’ that showcases sweet flute performances, the performance of ‘Ensemble Laon’ that expresses the beautiful flow of thoughts through music, and the performance of ‘Yubelton Symphony Orchestra’, the sixth stage of the Tchaikovsky Symphony Series.

Also selected were the Federicks Ensemble that interprets the ‘Narrative of Light and Darkness’ through music, the ‘Green Gallery’ exhibition that supports young writers, the project of the Korean Calligraphy Association that introduces the beauty of Hangul to the world, and the ‘Daejeon International Short Film Festival’ that promotes the creation of local short films.

The foundation stated that through this project, it aims to create a virtuous cycle where citizens’ voluntary participation not only gives real strength to the local art scene but also provides a stable creative environment for artists.

It emphasized that art is not the domain of specific experts but a public good created by all citizens, and it is expected to be an opportunity to foster the sustainability of local culture.

Baek Chun-hee, CEO of the Daejeon Cultural Foundation, said, “The small participation of each and every citizen can lead to great growth in local arts,” and added, “I hope that through this new support method called crowdfunding, local culture will become self-reliant and richer.”
