대전시의회 제287회 정례회 제3차 본회의에서 정명국 의원(국민의힘, 동구3)이 해양수산부의 부산 이전을 반대하는 건의안을 대표 발의했다. 

이번 건의안은 정부가 지난 5일 국무회의에서 해양수산부를 세종시에서 부산으로 이전하기로 결정한 데 따른 문제점을 지적하며, 이전 결정의 재검토를 촉구하는 내용을 담고 있다.

또한, 정 의원은 해양수산부의 세종시 존치는 특정 지역 이익을 넘어 대한민국 전체의 미래 경쟁력과 국가 공동 이익에 직결된 문제라면서, 국회와 중앙정부가 부산 이전 결정을 원점에서 재검토할 것을 강력히 요청했다.

대전시의회는 이 건의안을 국회 및 중앙정부에 공식 전달할 예정이며, 충청권의 공동 발전과 국가 균형발전 문제에 적극적으로 대응해 나가겠다는 입장을 밝혔다.
