천안시, 금 71개 포함 총 194개 메달로 종합점수 4만1575점 기록

아산시·서산시 뒤이어 2·3위…문화와 스포츠 어우러진 축제

‘2025 제77회 충청남도민체육대회’가 12일부터 15일까지 나흘간 천안시 일원에서 펼쳐진 가운데, 개최지 천안시가 4년 연속 종합우승을 차지하며 대회의 막을 내렸다.

‘뜨거운 함성이 천안에, 모두의 시선이 충남에’라는 슬로건 아래 열린 이번 대회에는 충남 15개 시군에서 약 1만 1000여 명의 선수단이 참가해 31개 종목에서 기량을 겨뤘다.

천안시는 금메달 71개, 은메달 63개, 동메달 60개 등 총 194개의 메달을 쓸어 담으며 종합점수 4만1,575점을 기록, 종합우승의 영예를 안았다. 이어 아산시와 서산시가 각각 2위와 3위를, 당진시와 공주시가 4위와 5위를 차지했다.

이외에도 보령시 선수단은 ‘화합상’, 청양군은 ‘모범선수단상’을 수상해 눈길을 끌었다.

폐회식은 15일 오후 천안종합운동장 실내테니스장에서 대회 하이라이트 영상 상영, 성적 발표, 종합시상, 폐회선언, 성화 소화, 대회기 전달 등의 순으로 진행됐다. 대회기는 내년 개최지인 당진시에 전달되며, 제78회 충남도민체전의 시작을 알렸다.

천안에서 21년 만에 열린 이번 대회는 스포츠에 문화가 더해진 복합 축제로 주목받았다. 천안시는 세계 최초로 수소전기를 이용한 성화 채화를 시도하고, 유관순 열사의 생전 모습을 미디어파사드로 재현해 시민과 참가자들의 큰 관심을 받았다.

또한, 대형 미디어 성화, 체험 프로그램, 찾아가는 예술무대 등 다채로운 문화 콘텐츠가 마련됐으며, ‘꿈누리 어린이 체전’에는 2,000여 명의 어린이들이 참여하는 등 전 연령대의 뜨거운 호응을 얻었다.

특히 개회식에서는 천안삼거리를 모티브로 한 개방형 무대와 360도 서라운드 음향 시스템이 도입돼 높은 완성도의 연출로 찬사를 받았다.

천안시는 냉방 쉼터 조성, 선수단 지원, 자원봉사 체계 구축 등 참가자 중심의 운영을 통해 충남 체육 중심 도시로서의 역량을 다시 한 번 입증했다.

한남교 천안시체육회장은 “21년 만에 천안에서 열린 도민체전에서 4년 연속 우승이라는 성과를 거둘 수 있었던 것은 선수와 지도자, 시민들의 노력 덕분”이라며 “앞으로도 시민 중심의 건강한 체육도시로 발전해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

김석필 천안시장 권한대행 부시장은 “220만 도민이 함께한 이번 대회는 화합과 감동의 무대였다”며 “충남 체육의 힘을 다시금 확인하는 뜻깊은 시간이었다”고 소감을 전했다.
