무더위 속 시민들에게 오랜 사랑을 받아온 충남 계룡시 ‘두계천 생태공원 물놀이장’이 여름철 운영을 앞두고 마지막 준비에 돌입했다. 

본격적인 개장은 오는 7월 25일부터 8월 20일까지이며, 예년과 마찬가지로 전 시민에게 무료 개방될 예정이다.

이 물놀이장은 계룡시 신도안면 남선리에 위치해 있으며, 총면적 약 360㎡ 규모에 수심 0.6m~0.9m 수준의 야외풀 2개가 마련돼 있어 유아와 초등학생을 중심으로 가족 단위 방문객들의 발길이 이어져 왔다.

계룡시는 올해 물놀이장 운영을 앞두고 전반적인 시설 점검과 정비 작업에 집중하고 있다. 특히 노후된 데크와 난간, 안전 펜스 등의 구조물에 대한 전면 보수가 한창 진행되고 있으며, 파라솔과 그늘막 등 이용자 편의를 높이기 위한 시설도 새롭게 설치 중이다.
