충남 금산군이 군북면 일대에 조성 중인 '아토피자연치유마을 지역활력타운' 조성사업이 본궤도에 오른다. 

군은 오는 7월 말까지 공공측량을 시행하고, 이를 바탕으로 개발계획을 구체화하겠다고 23일 밝혔다.

사업 대상지는 군북면에 위치한 약 11만356㎡ 규모의 부지다. 군은 이 구역에 대한 정밀 측량을 토대로 토지이용계획과 기반시설 설치 구상을 마련하고, 정주 여건 개선을 위한 본격적인 절차에 돌입할 계획이다.

해당 사업은 지난해 5월 국토교통부 등 3개 부처가 공동 주관한 지역활력타운 공모사업에 금산군이 선정되면서 시작됐다. 이어 같은 해 11월에는 지역발전투자협약을 체결했으며, 올해 1월에는 충청남도 지역개발계획에 해당 사업이 공식 반영됐다. 지난 4월부터는 사업구역 지정 및 실시계획 인가를 위한 용역도 추진 중이다.

금산군이 추진하는 지역활력타운은 단순한 주거단지를 넘어, 의료·복지·공동체 기능이 결합된 복합형 농촌 거점으로 조성된다. 구체적으로는 '단독주택 18동 신축, 커뮤니티센터 건립, 농촌돌봄농장 조성, 마을기반시설 정비' 등이 포함된다. 특히 아토피 자연치유를 테마로 삼아, 친환경적 주거 환경과 건강한 삶의 실현을 위한 치유 프로그램도 함께 도입할 방침이다.
