대전시의회 이금선 교육위원장(국민의힘, 유성구4)이 스승의 날을 맞아 지역 교육발전에 기여한 공로로 대전교사노동조합으로부터 감사패를 수여받았다.

감사패 수여식은 5월 15일 스승의 날을 기념해 진행됐으며, 대전교사노조는 이 위원장이 학생·학부모의 교육 환경 개선을 위한 실질적인 입법 활동을 이어온 점을 높이 평가했다.

이금선 위원장은 제9대 대전시의회 후반기 교육위원장으로 활동하면서 다자녀 가구의 교육비 부담 완화를 위한 대전광역시교육청 다자녀 학생 교육비 지원 조례 일부개정조례안, 교복 지원의 폭을 넓힌 대전광역시교육청 교복 지원 조례 일부개정조례안 등을 대표 발의해 학생과 학부모의 경제적 부담을 줄이는 데 기여해 왔다.

특히, 전국 최초로 ‘늘봄학교’ 운영에 필요한 제도적 근거를 마련한 대전광역시교육청 늘봄학교 운영 조례안을 대표 발의해, 돌봄과 교육의 연계 강화를 위한 기반을 마련했다는 점이 주목을 받았다.

이윤경 대전교사노조 위원장은 “현장의 목소리를 제도화하려는 노력과 실제 입법 성과에 깊이 감사드린다”며 감사패 전달 배경을 설명했다.

이에 대해 이금선 위원장은 “스승의 날을 맞아 교사들에게 존경과 감사의 마음을 전한다”며 “앞으로도 교육현장의 다양한 요구를 정책에 반영하고, 교사와 학생, 학부모 모두가 만족할 수 있는 교육환경 조성을 위해 의정활동에 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
