충남 논산시가 구직자들의 취업 역량 강화를 위해 한 걸음 더 나아간다. 

이를 위해 논산시는 지역 내 구직자들이 자격증이나 어학시험에 응시할 때 발생하는 경제적 부담을 덜어주기 위해 ‘2025년 논산시 취업자격증 취득지원 사업’을 본격 추진한다고 15일 밝혔다.

이 사업은 단순히 응시료를 보조하는 데 그치지 않고, 시민 개개인의 직업능력 개발을 돕고 장기적으로는 지역의 고용 활성화를 유도하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있다. 특히 2025년 1월 1일 이후에 응시한 시험부터 소급 적용되며, 실질적인 도움이 될 수 있도록 설계됐다.

지원 대상은 시험 응시일 기준 미취업 상태인 만 19세부터 64세까지의 논산시 거주자다. 신청 시점에도 주민등록상 주소지가 논산시에 있어야 하며, 올해부터는 논산 시민과 결혼했지만 아직 귀화를 완료하지 않은 외국인도 주민등록등본을 통해 자격을 확인한 뒤 지원받을 수 있다.

지원 범위는 상당히 넓다. 국가기술자격증 554종, 국가전문자격증 248종, 국가공인 민간자격증 95종, 어학시험 19종과 한국사능력검정시험까지 포함되어 있어 다양한 진로를 준비하는 구직자들이 폭넓게 혜택을 받을 수 있다.

응시료는 1회당 최대 5만 원까지 지원되며, 1인당 연간 최대 2회까지 신청 가능하다. 지급은 논산사랑 지역화폐(모바일)를 통해 이뤄져 지역경제 활성화와의 연계 효과도 기대된다.
