대전 유성구가 정기 점검 의무에서 제외된 소규모 노후 건축물의 안전을 확보하기 위해 무료 현장 점검을 시행한다.

이를 위해 유성구는 1995년 이전에 준공된 단독주택 가운데 2층 이하이면서 연면적 500㎡ 이하인 건축물을 대상으로 안전 점검을 실시한다고 12일 밝혔다. 

이번 점검은 노후화로 인한 구조적 위험이 커지는 가운데, 정기 점검 제도의 사각지대에 놓인 건축물에 대한 선제적 대응 차원에서 추진된다.

점검은 건축 구조 분야 민간 전문가와 유성구 건축안전센터 소속 공무원이 함께 현장을 방문해 진행하며, 비용은 전액 무료다. 결과는 우수, 양호, 보통, 미흡, 불량의 5단계로 평가되며, 등급에 따라 필요한 안전 조치와 유지 관리 방법이 안내된다.

유성구는 특히 구조적 취약 가능성이 높은 건축물 10곳을 우선 선정해 집중 점검할 계획이다. 대상 선정은 구조 전문가 자문을 바탕으로 이뤄진다.

신청 기간은 오는 5월 16일부터 6월 30일까지이다.
