당진시(시장 오성환)는 지난 8일 시청 해나루 홀에서 산업재해를 예방하고 민관 합동 대응체계를 구축하기 위한 '2025년 안전보건 리더회의'를 개최했다고 9일 밝혔다. 

이번 회의에는 당진상공회의소, 당진산업단지협의회, 관내 기업 안전관리책임자 등 경영계 대표와 한국노총 충남서부지역지부 노동계, 고용노동부 천안지청, 안전보건공단 충남본부 관계자 등 총 22명의 각계 대표가 참석했다.

회의 시작에 앞서, 시는 지난해 회의에서 건의된 산업재해 사고 사례집 제공, 화물자동차 불법 운행 단속, 소규모 기업 대상 산업재해 예방 교육 등 5건의 건의 사항 조치 결과를 공유했다.

이날 회의에서는 관내 중대(산업)재해 발생 현황 발표에 이어 당진시, 고용노동부, 안전보건공단의 중대재해 예방 대책 및 지원사업 설명이 있었다. 

오성환 시장 주재로 진행된 자유토론에서는 참석자들이 산업안전 관련 애로사항과 실질적인 개선 방안에 대해 심도 있는 논의를 가졌다.

오성환 시장은 "중대재해를 예방하고 줄이기 위해 경영계, 노동계, 공공·민간 기관과의 협력체계를 더욱 강화하겠다"며, "산업현장의 목소리를 청취하고 실효성 있는 정책 방향을 모색하기 위해 지속적으로 간담회를 개최하겠다"고 강조했다. 

또한, 교육, 홍보, 제도적 지원을 아끼지 않고 재해 없는 산업환경 조성을 위해 시 차원의 모든 노력을 기울일 것을 약속했다.

당진시는 하반기에도 소규모 민간사업체 대상 산업안전보건교육 실시, 안전 문화 확산 캠페인 전개, 자체 발주공사 및 수행사업 안전 점검, 산업안전 토론회 개최 등 다양한 산업재해 예방 시책을 적극 추진할 계획다.
