대전시가 중소벤처기업부가 주관하는 ‘2025년 협업형 메이커스페이스 지원사업’에 2년 연속 선정되며, 국비 6억 원을 확보하는 성과를 거뒀다고 8일 밝혔다. 

이번 사업을 통해 시는 ICT 기술 기반의 제조창업 생태계 조성과 스타트업의 기술사업화를 전방위로 지원하며, 중부권 창업 중심 도시로의 도약을 본격화한다.

‘협업형 메이커스페이스 지원사업’은 중소벤처기업부가 전국의 메이커스페이스 운영기관 중 전문성과 협업역량을 갖춘 기관을 선정해, 제조기반 창업 활성화를 체계적으로 지원하는 공모 사업이다.

대전시는 지난해 해당 사업을 통해 7,500건 이상의 시제품 제작, 20여 건의 신규 창업, 130명 이상의 일자리 창출이라는 실질적인 성과를 내며, 전국적인 주목을 받은 바 있다.

올해도 대전시는 총 사업비 10억 원(국비 6억 포함)을 투입해, 대전창조경제혁신센터, 3D 프린팅 전문기업 펀펀쓰리디, 디지털 제조 스타트업 그래비티컴퍼니 등 지역 민간·공공 전문기관과 손잡고 ICT 특화 창업 지원 프로그램을 본격 가동할 예정이다.

지원 내용은 시제품 제작 ,기업 성장 단계별 지원 ,디지털 제조 교육 ,메이커 관련 행사 ,홍보 및 커뮤니티 활성화 등 창업 초기부터 기술 검증, 투자 유치까지 전 주기 맞춤형 프로그램으로 구성된다.

특히 이번 사업은 대전창작Lab을 거점 플랫폼으로 삼아, 대덕특구의 연구기관, 지역 대학, 창업 지원기관 등과의 긴밀한 연계를 통해 기술창업의 허브로서의 역할을 더욱 공고히 할 계획이다.

대전시 관계자는 “이번 정부 공모 연속 선정은 대전의 창업 인프라와 협업 네트워크의 경쟁력을 인정받은 결과”라며, “중부권 최고의 메이커 플랫폼을 구축하고, 지역 창업가들이 실질적인 성과를 낼 수 있도록 밀착 지원하겠다”고 밝혔다.

Daejeon City announced on the 8th that it has secured 600 million won in national funds by being selected for the ‘2025 Collaborative Makerspace Support Project’ hosted by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups for 2 consecutive years.

The support contents consist of customized programs for the entire cycle from the initial startup stage to technology verification and investment attraction, such as prototype production, support for each stage of corporate growth, digital manufacturing education, maker-related events, publicity, and community activation.

In particular, this project plans to further solidify its role as a hub for technology startups by using Daejeon Creative Lab as a base platform and closely linking it with research institutes, local universities, and startup support organizations in Daedeok Special Zone.

A Daejeon City official said, “This consecutive selection in government competition is a result of recognition of Daejeon’s startup infrastructure and competitiveness of its collaborative network,” and added, “We will establish the best maker platform in the central region and provide close support so that local entrepreneurs can achieve tangible results.”
