여야 대선 후보가 확정되면서 대전·세종·충남 지역 정치권도 본격적인 선거 체제로 돌입하고 있다. 각 당 시도당은 선거대책위원회 구성에 속도를 내며 지역 민심 공략에 나설 채비를 하는 등 집권의 꿈을 꾸고 있다.

더불어민주당과 국민의힘은 각각 자당 후보의 선출을 계기로 중앙당 기조에 맞춘 지역 선대위 출범을 준비 중이며, 지역 핵심 인사들을 중심으로 한 조직 재편과 정책 홍보 전략도 구체화되고 있다.

더불어민주당 대전시당은 “지역 맞춤형 공약을 중심으로 대전 시민의 삶을 개선할 수 있는 실질적인 메시지를 전할 것”이라며, 조만간 선대위원장단을 발표하고 본격적인 유세 전략에 돌입할 예정이다. 

세종시당도 지역 선대위를 구성하고 사실상 선거전에 돌입했거, 충남도당 역시 지방정부 및 기초의원, 지역 사회단체와의 연계를 강화하며 풀뿌리 조직 정비에 주력하고 있다.

반면 국민의힘 대전시당은 전당대회에서 선출된 김문수 후보와 한덕수 전 총리의 단일화 결과에 따른 선대위 구성에 유동성이 있는 만큼 물밑에서 선대위 구성을 위한 작업을 하고 있는 것으로 알려졌다.

세종시당과 충남도당도 전·현직 단체장, 도의원 등과 함께 선대위를 구성 중이며, 보수 지지층 결집에 주력하고 있다.

지역 정치권 관계자는 “대전·세종·충남은 전통적인 정치 구도에 변화의 조짐이 있는 곳으로, 각 당 모두 치열한 승부를 예고하고 있다”며 “조기 선거 체제 돌입은 곧 민심과 정책 경쟁의 시작을 의미한다”고 분석했다.

주말을 전후로 각 당은 공식 선대위 출범식을 갖고, 지역 핵심 공약 발표와 유세 일정 등을 본격화할 계획이다. 

대선이 본격화되며 지역 표심을 둘러싼 각 당의 전략 경쟁도 더욱 치열해질 전망이다.
