대전 대덕구가 지역 내 대표 대학인 한남대학교와 손을 맞잡고, 지속가능한 지역 혁신을 위한 협력 체계를 본격 가동한다.

대덕구는 24일, 한남대학교 본관 대회의실에서 ‘지역사회 발전 공동협력체계 구축’을 위한 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 밝혔다. 

이날 협약식에는 최충규 대덕구청장과 이승철 한남대 총장을 비롯해 양 기관 관계자들이 참석해 실질적인 협력 추진을 위한 실무자 협의체 구성에도 합의했다.

이번 협약은 대덕구가 추진 중인 각종 구정 현안과 정부 공모사업에 한남대의 전문성과 인적 자원을 연계함으로써, 지역 문제 해결과 혁신 성장의 새로운 동력을 확보하겠다는 데 초점이 맞춰졌다.

협약에 따라 두 기관은 지역 현안 해결을 위한 공동협력체계 구축 ,지속 가능한 성장 기반 마련을 위한 전략적 연계 ,공모사업 공동 대응 ,자원봉사 등 지역사회 기여 활동 연계 등 다양한 분야에서 협력을 강화할 예정이다.

한남대 이승철 총장은 “학생과 교수진이 지역 사회 프로젝트에 직접 참여하며 실질적인 성과를 만들어낼 수 있을 것”이라며, “교육기관의 역할을 넘어 지역사회와 함께 성장하는 대학이 되겠다”고 말했다.

최충규 구청장은 “대학의 전문성과 창의력을 지역 행정에 접목할 수 있는 계기가 마련됐다”며 “앞으로도 긴밀한 협력 속에 대덕구의 지속가능한 미래를 함께 설계해 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.

이번 협약은 단순한 행사성 제휴를 넘어, 지역사회와 대학이 상생할 수 있는 실질적 모델을 제시한 점에서 큰 의미를 갖는다. 관학이 손을 맞잡은 이번 협력 체계가 대덕구의 정책 실행력 강화는 물론, 청년 인재의 지역 정착 기반 마련으로도 이어질 수 있을지 주목된다.
