충남 청양군이 4월 24일부터 서울 도심 한복판에서 ‘서울 싱싱 직거래 목요장터’ 운영을 시작하며 지역 농업인의 안정적인 판로 확보와 도시 소비자와의 직거래 기반을 마련했다. 

이번 장터는 서울 구로구 신도림역 인근 더링크호텔 옆 공간에서 매달 첫째·셋째 주 목요일, 오전 10시부터 오후 5시까지 정기적으로 열린다.

이번 사업은 청양군과 용산트레이드센터유한회사가 체결한 협약을 바탕으로 추진되었으며, 청양 농가에서 직접 재배한 신선 농산물과 지역 특산품, 축산물 등을 소비자에게 직접 공급함으로써 유통 과정을 최소화하고 가격 경쟁력을 높이는 것이 핵심이다.

이 장터에는 제철 과일인 블루베리와 토마토를 비롯해, 건강식품으로 각광받는 구기자 등 다양한 품목이 계절별로 선별되어 소개된다. 농산물은 철저한 품질관리를 거쳐 공급되며, 서울 시민들은 마트보다 저렴한 가격으로 프리미엄급 지역 농특산물을 구매할 수 있다.
