충남 청양군이 거동이 불편한 어르신들의 이동권 보장을 위해 실질적인 지원책을 마련했다. 청양군의회(의장 김기준)는 최근 열린 제310회 임시회에서 이봉규 의원이 발의한 '청양군 노인 성인용 보행기 지원 조례안'을 원안대로 의결했다고 밝혔다.

이번 조례는 고령화가 빠르게 진행되는 지역사회에서 이동에 제약을 느끼는 어르신들의 생활 편의와 삶의 질을 높이는 데 초점을 맞췄다. 특히, 국민건강보험공단의 지원 사각지대에 놓인 노인들도 지원을 받을 수 있도록 문턱을 낮췄다는 점에서 주목된다.
