충남 청양군에서 한국 전통문화를 기리는 대표 축제인 '제26회 청양칠갑산 장승문화축제'가 오는 5일부터 6일까지 대치면 장승공원 일원에서 열린다. 

이번 축제는 칠갑산 장승문화축제 추진위원회(위원장 임호빈)가 주최하고, 충남 청양군이 후원해 더욱 풍성한 프로그램과 다채로운 볼거리로 꾸며질 예정이다.

올해 축제는 건강 걷기 행사와 연계한 대장승 퍼레이드로 화려한 막을 올린다. 이어서 전국 최대 규모의 장승대제, 하늘을 수놓을 대형 연 퍼포먼스, 그리고 흥겨운 전통 공연이 펼쳐져 방문객들에게 색다른 즐거움을 선사한다.

특히, 이번 축제는 관람객 동선 최적화에 중점을 두어 칠갑산도립공원 장곡주차장에서 장승공원까지 이어지는 구간을 중심으로 체험 부스, 음식 부스, 공연 무대를 밀집 배치해 축제의 몰입도를 높였다.

군 관계자는 “칠갑산 장승문화축제는 한국 전통문화의 멋과 흥을 온전히 느낄 수 있는 최고의 장승문화 보존 행사”라며 “웃고 즐길 수 있는 다채로운 볼거리와 먹거리, 놀거리를 두루 마련했으니 많은 분들이 방문해 즐거운 추억 만들어 가시길 바란다”고 전했다.
