충남 아산시가 한국철도공사 대전충남본부와 함께 ‘2025-2026 아산 방문의 해’를 맞아 관광 활성화를 위한 업무협약을 24일 아산시청에서 체결했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 협약은 아산의 관광 자원을 활용하여 지역 경제를 활성화하고, 전국 관광객 유치를 목표로 체결했다는게 아산시의 설명이다.

협약의 주요 내용은 ‘제64회 아산 성웅 이순신 축제’와 온양온천, 도고온천, 아산온천을 연계한 철도 여행상품 개발 및 운영 지원, 그리고 인주역(서해선복선전철)의 관광 활성화 방안 마련 등이다. 

이를 통해 아산시는 다양한 관광 콘텐츠를 제공하고, 철도와 연계한 여행의 매력을 높일 계획이다.

협약의 구체적인 내용으로는 단체 패키지 여행 ,개별 맞춤형 여행 ,온천 치유 관광 상품 개발 및 운영 ,인주역 활성화 상품 개발 및 운영 ,홍보 마케팅 등이 포함되어 있다. 

아산시는 수도권과의 근접성 덕분에 자연, 역사, 문화가 어우러진 매력적인 여행지로 자리잡고 있으며, 이번 협약을 통해 지역 관광 활성화에 더욱 박차를 가할 것으로 기대된다.

조일교 아산시장 권한대행은 “한국철도공사 대전충남본부와 협력하여 아산시의 매력을 전국에 알리고, 방문객들이 다시 찾고 싶은 도시로 만들기 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.

전승찬 한국철도공사 대전충남본부장은 “이번 협약을 통해 아산의 문화관광 자원을 철도와 결합하여 차별화된 관광상품을 개발하고, 전국의 관광객이 아산을 방문할 수 있도록 긴밀히 협력하겠다”고 전했다.
