대전시립미술관이 오는 3월 25일부터 6월 22일까지 네덜란드 크뢸러 뮐러 미술관 소장 작품 76점을 선보이는 특별 전시 ‘불멸의 화가 반 고흐’를 개최한다. 

이번 전시는 반 고흐의 대표작을 통해 그의 예술 세계와 삶을 깊이 있게 탐구할 수 있는 기회를 제공하며, 서울에 이어 광역시에서 처음으로 원화 전시가 이루어진다는 점에서 큰 의미를 지닌다.

전시는 반 고흐의 예술적 여정을 다섯 개의 주요 시기로 나누어 진행된다. 첫 번째는 네덜란드 시기(1881-1885)로, 이 시기에는 농민과 노동자의 삶을 사실적으로 담아낸 초기 작품들이 전시된다. 대표작으로는 〈감자 먹는 사람들〉 드로잉과 〈여인의 두상〉 시리즈가 포함된다.

Daejeon Museum of Art will hold a special exhibition titled ‘Immortal Painter Van Gogh’ from March 25 to June 22, featuring 76 works from the Kröller-Müller Museum in the Netherlands.
