논산시가 신규 농업인과 귀농귀촌 희망자들을 대상으로 오는 5월 20일까지 ‘상반기 신규농업인 귀농귀촌영농기술교육’을 실시한다. 이번 교육은 귀농귀촌인의 조기 영농 정착을 지원하기 위해 마련됐다.

교육 프로그램은 귀농귀촌인의 수요에 맞춰 구성되며, 선배 귀농귀촌인 정착 사례 ,논산시 귀농귀촌 지원 정책 안내 ,논산 농업 및 농업기술센터 업무 소개 ,딸기, 상추 등 작목별 기초 영농 기술 ,농지 침수 유형 안내 ,스마트팜 이해 등 다양한 주제를 포함하고 있다. 이를 통해 교육생들의 만족도를 높이고 있다.

또한, 논산시에서는 선도 농가 및 선배 귀농인의 농업 현장 방문과 논산의 11경인 종학당, 한국유교문화진흥원 등을 포함한 현장 교육을 병행하여 교육의 질을 더욱 향상시키고 있다.

기술센터 내에서는 작목별 전문지도사가 작목 재배에 대한 기초 영농 기술 교육 등 체계적인 교육 프로그램을 운영하고, 신기술 보급 확대와 청년 농업 창업 지원에도 힘쓰고 있다.

논산시 관계자는 “귀농귀촌 영농기술교육은 매년 예비 귀농인과 귀농귀촌인의 안정적인 정착과 소득 창출 기반 마련에 중요한 역할을 하고 있다”면서, “앞으로도 귀농귀촌인의 유입을 촉진하고 새로운 농업 기술을 제공하여 논산 농업의 가치를 높여 나가겠다”고 밝혔다.
