대전 서구가 13일 구청 갑천누리실에서 건양사이버대학교 산학협력단과 청년 고독사 고위험군 지원사업 추진을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다.

이번 협약은 청년 고독사 문제에 효과적으로 대응하기 위해 서구가 올해 새롭게 기획한 사업으로, 매년 상반기에 실시하는 사회적 고립가구 실태조사를 통해 발굴된 청년 고독사 고위험군을 대상으로 맞춤형 특화 서비스를 제공하는 것이 핵심이다. 

이 서비스는 마음회복 ,관계회복 ,일상회복 ,통합적 지원체계 등을 포함한다.

서철모 구청장은 “이번 사업은 중장년과 노인과는 다른 청년의 사회적, 경제적, 심리적 고독사 위험 요인을 반영한 서비스 제공으로, 청년 고독사 예방에 크게 기여할 것”이라며, “청년 일자리 창출과 지역사회 복지 증진을 위한 우수기관인 건양사이버대학교 산학협력단과의 협약을 통해 서비스 질 향상을 기대한다”고 밝혔다.

또한, 서구는 대전 5개 구 중 최초로 사회적 관계 형성을 위한 1인 가구 동아리 지원사업을 추진하고 있으며, 청년 도전 지원사업 등 지역 청년들의 일상적 생활 지원에도 힘쓰고 있다. 

앞으로도 민관 협력과 지역 자원을 활용해 청년 고독사를 예방하고, 사회적 고립에서 벗어날 수 있는 복지 안전망을 구축해 나갈 예정이다.
