세종시가 12일 시청 세종실에서 ㈜원건설과 ‘세종 힐데스하임CC & 리조트 조성’을 위한 양해각서를 체결했다.

이날 협약식에는 최민호 시장과 ㈜원건설 김민호 회장 등 10여 명의 관계자가 참석했다.

이번 협약으로 ㈜원건설은 약 3000억 원을 투자해 세종시 장군면 평기리 일대 약 18만 평 부지에 골프장, 컨벤션 및 숙박시설을 조성할 계획이다.

시는 이 사업의 원활한 추진을 위해 각종 인허가 등 행정적 지원에 나선다.

골프장은 총 18홀, 고급 숙박시설 312실(10동), 컨벤션센터가 포함된 클럽하우스 등을 갖춰 2029년까지 준공될 예정이다.

이에 따라 200여 명의 신규 일자리 창출, 지역 주민 우선 채용에 따른 경제 활성화, 연간 15만 명의 방문객 확보을 통한 관광 산업 활성화 등이 기대된다.

최민호 시장은 “국회세종의사당과 대통령집무실이 들어설 행정수도 세종시에 걸맞는 명품 관광·숙박시설로 조성해 주시길 바란다”며 “오는 2027년까지 차질 없이 조성될 수 있도록 지원하겠다”고 말했다.

김민호 ㈜원건설 회장은 “사업추진 과정에서 주민 의견을 적극 반영할 계획”이라며 “지역 주민을 우선 채용하고 지역 생산 자재를 사용하는 등 세종시 지역경제 활성화를 위해서도 노력하겠다”고 전했다.
