충남 천안시의회는 이상구 의원(국민의힘, 비례)이 대표 발의한 '천안시 지역축제장 셔틀버스 운영 조례안'이 12일 제278회 임시회 복지문화위원회 심의를 통과했다고 밝혔다.

이번 조례안은 지역축제장을 방문하는 관광객의 편의와 관광 활성화를 위해 셔틀버스 운영에 필요한 사항을 규정하고 있다. 

조례안의 주요 내용으로는 셔틀버스 운영에 관한 사항 ,셔틀버스의 운영 노선 ,이용대상자 및 운행 방법 ,홍보 등이 포함되어 있다.

이상구 의원은 “이번 조례를 통해 천안시 지역축제장을 방문하는 관광객들에게 보다 나은 교통편의를 제공하고, 지역 축제가 더욱 활성화될 수 있는 법적 근거를 마련했다”며 조례의 필요성을 강조했다. 또한 “셔틀버스 운영이 원활하게 이루어질 수 있도록 세부적인 사항을 지속적으로 검토하고 개선해 나가겠다”고 덧붙였다.

한편, 이 조례안은 오는 14일 열리는 제278회 임시회 제2차 본회의에서 최종 의결될 예정이다. 조례안이 통과될 경우, 천안시 내 주요 축제장에서 관광객들의 접근성이 개선되고, 주민들의 복지 증진에도 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
