대전 대덕구가 12일 한남대학교 무어아트홀에서 지역 초·중·고 학교장 및 운영위원장 70여 명과 함께 2025년 각급학교 교육경비 보조사업 추진을 위한 간담회를 개최했다. 

이번 간담회는 맞춤형 교육 프로그램 지원을 통해 대덕구의 교육 경쟁력을 강화하고, 학교별 건의 사항을 청취하기 위해 마련되었다.

대덕구는 지난해 교육경비 보조사업을 통해 학교교육운영 분야에 5000만원(10개교), 학교시설개선 분야에 1억 5000만원(16개교) 등 총 2억원을 지원하여 참여 학교로부터 큰 호응을 얻었다. 

이에 따라 올해는 사업비를 1억원 증액하여 총 3억원의 예산을 확보하고, 학습, 문화예술 체육활동, 진로·진학 교육, 학생 안전사고 예방 관련 노후시설 개선 등의 사업을 지원할 계획이다.

특히, 이번 대덕구 교육경비 보조금은 학교 수 대비 대전시 자치구 중 최고 지원액으로 주목받고 있다. 구는 학교별 특성과 수요를 고려하여 각각 학교교육과정 분야에 1억원, 학교시설개선 분야에 2억원을 지원할 예정이다.

최충규 구청장은 “간담회를 통해 현장의 목소리를 듣고, 실질적인 지원 방안을 마련해 행복한 학교 환경을 조성하겠다”며, “우리 대덕구의 교육 여건 개선을 위해 지속적인 지원을 아끼지 않겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 대덕구는 교육경비 보조사업 외에도 교육발전특구사업(1억원), 대덕혁신교육교육지구사업(1억 5천만원) 등 다양한 교육사업을 추진하고 있다.
