대전시는 12일 대전시청에서 도시 브랜드의 위상을 높이고 시정 홍보를 강화하기 위해 배우 이필모와 힙합 래퍼 레디(본명 김홍우)를 홍보대사로 신규 위촉했다고 발표했다.

배우 이필모는 현재 KBS 주말드라마 ‘독수리 5형제를 부탁해!’에서 활발히 활동 중이며, ‘너는 내 운명’, ‘솔약국집 아들들’ 등 여러 작품에 출연해 대중에게 친숙한 얼굴로 자리 잡았다. 

그는 2017년 대한민국문화연예대상에서 남자 최우수 연기상을 수상했으며, 현재 대전대학교 공연예술콘텐츠학과의 겸임교수로도 활동하고 있다. 또한, 대전광역시 영상산업육성위원회 위원으로서 지역 문화와 예술 발전에 기여하고 있다.

힙합 래퍼 레디는 대전 출신으로, 한밭중학교와 보문고등학교에서 학창 시절을 보냈다. 그는 엠넷의 ‘쇼미더머니’ 시리즈에 출연하여 실력을 인정받았으며, 2024년 티빙의 힙합 서바이벌 프로그램 ‘랩:퍼블릭(RAP:PUBLIC)’에서 준우승을 차지하며 주목받았다. 

대전에서 청소년기를 보낸 그는 지역에 대한 깊은 애정을 바탕으로 다양한 활동에 참여할 예정이다.

이번 신규 위촉으로 대전시 홍보대사는 펜싱 황제 오상욱, 트롯 가수 김의영, 축구선수 황인범 등 유명인 25명과 대학생 및 고등학생 기자단 등 시민 34명을 포함해 총 59명으로 확대되었다. 

대전시는 이들을 통해 지역의 매력을 널리 알리고, 시민과의 소통을 강화할 계획이다.

Daejeon City appoints actor Lee Pil-mo and hip-hop rapper Reddy as public relations ambassadors

Daejeon City announced on the 12th at Daejeon City Hall that it has newly appointed actor Lee Pil-mo and hip-hop rapper Reddy (real name Kim Hong-woo) as public relations ambassadors to enhance the status of the city brand and strengthen city administration publicity.

Actor Lee Pil-mo is currently actively appearing in the KBS weekend drama 'Please Take Care of the Five Eagle Brothers!' and has become a familiar face to the public through his appearances in various works such as 'You Are My Destiny' and 'The Sons of Sol Pharmacy'.

He won the Best Male Acting Award at the 2017 Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards and is currently an adjunct professor at the Department of Performing Arts Contents at Daejeon University. He is also contributing to the development of local culture and arts as a member of the Daejeon Metropolitan City Film Industry Promotion Committee.

Hip-hop rapper Reddy is from Daejeon and attended Hanbat Middle School and Bomun High School during his school days. He appeared on Mnet's 'Show Me the Money' series and was recognized for his skills, and in 2024, he came in second place on Tving's hip-hop survival program 'RAP:PUBLIC' and gained attention.

Having spent his youth in Daejeon, he plans to participate in various activities based on his deep affection for the region.

With this new appointment, the number of Daejeon City's public relations ambassadors has increased to a total of 59, including 25 celebrities such as fencing emperor Oh Sang-wook, trot singer Kim Eui-young, and soccer player Hwang In-beom, as well as 34 citizens including college and high school student reporters.

Through these people, Daejeon City plans to widely publicize the region's charm and strengthen communication with citizens.
